SKU: FB001

A 3D Wooden Lake District map with all 214 Wainwright fells.

Original, unique and beautiful.

Wherever you place this stunning Lake District art in your home it’s sure to catch the eye and inspire your passion for this beautiful National Park…and for bagging those fells! Not only can the artwork be rather mesmerising, but it is also very tactile, and we find it is very much a talking point. An ideal gift for your family or friends or for yourself!

Each piece is unique and lovingly made right here in the Lake District and consists of over 100 pieces. The maps are cut from high quality fully FSC certified plywood, coloured, engraved and assembled in our small workshop by our family team. As wood is a natural product, the grain and texture is unique to each piece.

What makes the Fell Baggers Lake District Map so special?

  • Beautiful outline that follows the full National Park boundary. The free form factor significantly adds to the impact the map has when displayed on a wall.

  • Large size of approximately 600mm x 600mm. About the size of a medium to large picture.

  • See where each of the 214 wainwright fells are in the Lake District National Park. Each fell is engraved with a mountain symbol indicating which region it is in and a number. Each number then corresponds to the name of the fell on the included legend.

  • All of the 16 major lakes are recessed and coloured in a shimmering blue. The lakes are Windermere, Ullswater, Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake, Coniston Water, Haweswater, Thirlmere, Ennerdale Water, Wastwater, Crummock Water, Esthwaite Water, Buttermere, Grasmere, Loweswater, Rydal Water and Brotherswater.

  • There are 5 topographical layers representing from lake level up to 978m. Each layer coloured differently to emphasise the change in contour height.

  • Major towns and villages included where artistically possible.

  • All 6 major road passes indicated. These are very narrow and steep passes that are exciting to drive through... with great care. The passes are Wrynose Pass, Hardknott Pass, Newlands Pass, Honister Pass, Whinlatter Pass and Kirkstone Pass.

  • Enough coloured pins are included to mark each of the 214 fells. Once you have completed a fell – just stick a pin in it!

  • A small number of pins of a different colour are included so that you may plan your next fell bagging expedition!

  • Each map also includes a legend of the fell names. This can either be displayed on the wall or near to your artwork on the supplied stand.

  • Brackets are supplied on the map but you will need to provide your own wall fixings.

  • All packaging materials as far as possible are plastic free and made from recycled or recyclable paper and card. The waterproof delivery bag is made from recycled plastic and is recyclable.
